After losing our first match to a team that I felt was definitely beatable we were all a little disappointed. But, after that match the team turned it around and played great from then on. We were ranked 3rd in our pool and ended up coming in 2nd, going 2-1 in pool play. We had great defense most the day and picked it up on our covering. I saw a lot of girls really on fire and pushing to better their team. We ended up losing in our playoff match, but the girls played really well. We were glad to move up a little and stay in the 4th division of Gold. Our standout players for this weekend would have to be Jessica Soprano-she made the turning point in the day and luckily her team followed suite. Chelsea Wallace had a great attitude and went into serve for our middles and did wonderfully. Anne Westbrooke did really well being aggressive in the middle and trying new plays. Heaven Silveira was on fire on the outside!
