Mandy Arnold-Rodriguez

Mandy attended Buena High School where she played volleyball and basketball. While at BHS she received many awareds, including the Golden Hands Award for the top setter her senior year. Her Varsity Coach Jimmy Miranda named Mandy the team captain and also gave her the Coaches Award. Mandy's College Career began at Cerritos College, one of the top programs in the state. While at Cerritos Mandy received such honors as Second Team All Conference and Honorable Mention All Conference. While at Cerritos Mandy led her team into the State Community College Playoffs both years. Mandy was the starting setter on the women's team at Whittier College in 1998 and 1999. While at Whittier Mandy earned first and second team All SCIAC awards. She was co-captain, co-mvp, and Female Team Sport Athlete of the year in 1999. Mandy received her BA in Child Development in 2000. She continued on at Whittier College as the Graduate Assistant for the women's volleyball team pursuing her Master's in Education, which she received in May of 2002. Mandy was also the men's club volleyball coach at Whittier College during 2001 and 2002. Mandy has also coached JV girls volleyball at La Serna High School in Whittier. While in college Mandy coached for CI as well as Huntington Beach Volleyball Club. She has now coached for Channel Islands for more than 10 years and is currently the Director of Coaching. Mandy is in her 7th season as the Head Women's Volleyball Coach at Ventura College. Her VC team has won a couple of league titles and has been in the playoffs in all but one of those seasons. Along with coaching volleyball Mandy also teaches 2nd grade at Hueneme Elementary. Mandy is married to Leo and has twin daughters Isabella and Adrianna. Mandy is very excited for the upcoming season and looks forward to working with each and every player in our program. She plans on being a Hands on type of Coaching Director and hopes to have an influence on each of our athletes. Impact Certified and PCA Double Goal Coach Certified.
