Renee Richards

Renee is married to Jack Richards and has three children.  Renee was a competetive swimmer both in High School and College, she graduated from the University of Puget Sound in Washington State in 1979.  She was a teacher in Los Angeles County then after moving to Ventura in 1985 with Jack she began teaching at Buena High School after her time as a "stay at home" Mom.   All three daughters played their club volleyball career at Channel Islands VBC totaling 32 years.  Her youngest daughter Jacki is currently playing for California Lutheran University as a defensive specialist and opposite, Janee the oldest played for California State Stanislaus as a libero, and Lauren played for Concordia University in Oregon as a setter.  Renee is currently in her 16th year as the Club Director.  In addition to Co-Directing, Renee works full time with the City of Ventura.  Renee is the supervisor of the "PEAK After School programs".  Renee was also the 2008 Ventura City "Employee of the Year".  Renee enjoys traveling, RV’ing on the beach with friends and family, her Hawaii Trips , and most of all watching Jacki play at Cal Lu.  Renee would like to wish all the teams, much luck in competition, much fun, and most of all looks forward to another successful season!
