Mike Hertenstein

Mike took up playing volleyball after high school on the beaches and in the parks in Ventura, San Diego and Santa Barbara. He coached boys JV at Camarillo High School for 2 years under Martin Manzer. He also coached U14 girls at Channel Islands for 3 years.  Mike was the girls Frosh/Soph/JV at Buena High School for 7 years under Jack Richards.  Mike was also the Coach and Directer of Balboa Volleyball Club for 6 years, but coached at Balboa Middle School for 12 years. He has been a Ventura Unified teacher for 14 years and is married  to wife Tami and has two children, Cade and Riley.  His third baby is due in early April.  Mike decided this year to come back home to Channel Islands Volleyball Club and were excited to have him back.
